Design Project #2 - Iconography and Design Elements

Recently, I've been pretty obsessed with wolves. So for this design project, I chose the image of a wolf composed of brush strokes for my icon:








I then chose to focus on the three design elements of rhythm, radiation, and scale:







The layout that used repetition in order to form a pattern ended up being the most effective. The applications we came up with included decorative elements that utilize pattern, i.e. wallpaper, wrapping paper, an mp3 player skin, etc. Here is an example of the wallpaper application:
